The restaurant was outstanding. The manager Mr. Asabul took a personal interest in the services provided. The quality of the food and the cooking were of the highest quality. The staff was courteous and gave good suggestions. Overall I would strongly recommend the hotel and restaurant for your stay in Rameswaram.

We had planned a road trip across the temple towns of Tamil Nadu, with Rameswaram as our final stop. The trip was booked a month in advance, and we had no idea that Cyclone Ditwa would hit during our visit. We had reserved a two-night stay at Sremethila, but as fate would have it, the day we arrived in Rameswaram it was pouring relentlessly, with strong winds making it unsafe to go anywhere. With all major attractions closed to the public, staying for two nights simply wasn’t possible. Although my booking was non-refundable, I decided to reach out to Agoda to request a cancellation for the second night. I wasn’t very hopeful, but the Agoda team was extremely understanding and assured me they would speak with the hotel management on my behalf. I also emailed the General Manager of Sremethila Hotels, Mr. Nithin Srivatsav, explaining our situation. To my surprise, not only did they approve my request, but Mr. Srivatsav personally replied, assuring me of all possible support for my family’s safety. Both Agoda and the hotel promptly processed the refund. As a frequent traveler, I know that many booking platforms or hotels wouldn’t have been this accommodating, especially during adverse circumstances. So a big thank-you to both Agoda and the Sremethila team. The hotel itself has excellent infrastructure, and the staff are courteous and helpful. With Ramanathapuram—the nearest town—being over 30 km away, Hotel Sremethila is easily one of the best options if you’re planning a stay in Rameswaram.

Had a wonderful stay at Hotel Sremethila in Rameshwaram! The location is perfect—close to the temple and railway station. The rooms are spacious, elegant, and well-maintained. A special thanks to Mr. Balaji at the front office for his warm and professional support, especially in helping with temple ticket arrangements. His guidance made our visit smooth and memorable. The only area for improvement is the restaurant service, which was sometimes slow and a bit uncoordinated, especially when requesting extra spoons and plates Apart from reastruant overall excellent stay. Will definitely visit again.
